I have just received two items I purchased from the same seller at ebay, one is a small Swarovski hedgehog, the other is a small oyster with pearl, trouble is I cannot locate the swan hallmark on either. The listing did not mention it so I emailed to ask before bidding. Does anyone have either or both of these items in their collection? and if so where are the hallmarks located? Also are they visible by eye?!

  1. Does it break if you give it a tap with a hammer?

If yes, it was a real Swarovski...

  2. I have just checked my Teddy and the Swarovski mark is on the bottom.  Ring the Swarovski dealers they are very helpfull.

The sign your looking for is a small swan.

  3. I collect Swarovski and have both hedgehog (2 of various sizes) and a large oyster with pearl.  Both of mine are marked on the base, normally near the edge or corner.  Swarovski should have some mark either the swan or a cubed S (looks like a square block) and you should be able to see them with the naked eye or with a glass if your eyesight isn't brilliant.  I would email Swarovski and double check with them if you are unsure as it could be that they are maybe seconds and that could be why they are not marked.  Also email the Ebayer you bought them from and ask them for any authentication they may have, i.e. where did they get them from etc.  Good luck

  4. Genuine 'Swarovski' items are marked on the bottom with a small swan that is visible to the naked eye.

If you are in doubt, take the items to a reputable dealer who will authenticate the items.
