Genuine question about Violation Notices?

I received one today for a question I posted months ago (literally, I honestly thought they'd got the wrong person to start with !) Has anyone else received one for a question they asked ages and ages ago?

Some have but mine are normally recent

Sometimes Q&A are restored to old accounts which have been suspended as well

my suspended acount still receives violation notices - strangely the violation email arrived right after a new fan connection

I've had that before, the furthest back was about a month though. If it doesn't deserve a violation when you ask the question, why can it get a violation months after?

It's just stupid.

At this stage, I am so used to getting them, I just delete them from my inbox....

Yeah. I posted a good question (I thought anyway) then ages later i got told I had breached community guidelines for "chatting." Can't be bothered to complain about it though. What was your violation?

Yes, very recently, I don't remember it, it goes back months.

edit: actually it was an answer.

Yeah I had my question on the Irish Holocaust violated but it didn't take rocket science to figure out who it was as there was only one person who didn't comment on it being a great question.He obviously went back later to do it.Pretty childish really.
