Genuine uses for cotton buds?

Question

I know that you are not supposed to stick cotton buds in your ears and I also know that they are mainly categorised as a hygiene/beauty product but what else can they be used for? I only buy em to prod my ears with!!!!!!!!!!!!. I'm just thinking. That's what not having a job does for ya!!!

Sometimes I clean around my bathroom faucet with them...

cleaning jewlery or around tight spaces. i mainly use them for my make up and taking nail polish off though.

Urm you could use them to apply or get rid of make up.

Cleaning awkward areas.

Cleaning ears.

Thats all i can think of sorry.

They're used for cleaning babies...also for cleaning muck out of cuts and grazes.

How is there any other decent way to clean your ears (very carefully with)

but a cotton bud.   But unfortunately by accident I used my daughters cheap one guess what happened???

cotton bud came of in my ear, went to doctor he didn't have narrow enough tweezers to get it out, had to go to casualty next morning, they couldn't do it straight away cause the fine tools were in the surgery dept, which was not opened. SOO after a forty minute Wait he came back smiling with the Magic tweezers and removed it, I had inside my ear for 3 days!!!

I know your not supposed to use it in your ears but i do any way. I also use them to make sure my eyeliner is perfect :)

I have used them in the past for the first few weeks I had my ears pierced and you have the clean around the piercing with a special liquid and I used a cotton bud for that. I also use them to smudge my eyeliner a bit so it doesn't look like it's just been put on and I also use cotton buds to wipe it off at the end of the day. I use them for removing nail polish as well

They can also be used to clean the stump left from an umbilical cord in a newborn baby

Oh, and I've used them to get dirt out of cuts and stuff that won't come out with just water or antiseptic spray
