Geoff Lawson, the Australian pacer turned coach, has strongly recommended Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to arrange a complete support staff if it desires to install Dean Jones, the ex-Australian batsman, as the Men in Green's new head coach.
Lawson, who also coached Pakistan for at least 15 months, argued that his countryman does not have professional experience in International coaching, therefore, he will need assistant coaches in all three departments in order to execute his duties perfectly.
However, he has hailed the cricketing capabilities and skill of Jones, claiming that he will work with ‘wonderful enthusiasm’ provided he gets proper support from the board.
Talking to the media today, Lawson said, “Jones would be an interesting choice as he doesn’t have any recent coaching credentials. He does, however, go about all his projects with wonderful enthusiasm but he would need very good specialist coaches.”
Jones is one of the candidates the PCB has shortlisted for the post of head coach, and the majority opinion goes to his favour.
The board advertised the coach vacancy a few weeks back following the resignation of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waqar-Younis-Maitla-c96193 from the post. The former Pakistan skipper and pacer gave in the role for some personal reasons.

In the backdrop of Waqar’s resignation, some demanded Lawson to rejoin, but he refused.
