http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 can bounce back against Pakistan – Cricket News Update
Sri Lanka’s coach Geoff http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 (UAE).
According to Marsh, “If we can get Pakistan out with just 150 runs in front and if we bat well then we have a chance. You never know on the last day of the Test match what can happen but we have a lot of hard work to do.”
The Australian further added that he would have liked a few more Pakistani wickets until the end of day two. He said, “I would have loved to have got more wickets. It is a fact that we did not score enough runs in the first innings. To be bowled out for
240 runs in a really good wicket when Pakistan went in with only two quick bowlers and two spinners was a mistake.”
Sri Lanka have been struggling to perform with consistency on the tour until now. The team luckily managed to draw the first Test in Abu Dhabi, as the opposition dropped seven catches in their second innings.
Pakistan could have easily won that match within four days, but things did not work out well for the team. They also had an opportunity to chase down 170 runs for victory on the final day, but only had 21 overs left.
Pakistan’s skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohsin-Hasan-Khan-c77595 opted not to take any risks and the match ended in a draw.
Things have again shaped up nicely for the Men in Green in the second Test. They managed to bowl Sri Lanka out for 239 runs and ended day two with a first innings lead of 42 runs and six wickets remaining.
However, there is plenty of cricket still left in this match and anything might happen until the fifth day’s play. At the moment, Pakistan are in a great position and are likely to win.
The pitch in Dubai is expected to wear out on the final couple of days and Pakistan have two spinners in the side, which will put the opposition under immense pressure.
