The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 and his Men in Green in the upcoming One Day series against Pakistan, starting today, at the Dubai International Cricket
Stadium.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 would enter the series at the back of a 1-0 Test series win against the Lankans. Marsh agreed that the Men in Green have the much needed momentum; however, he believes the world cup finalists of this year would go into the
limited overs series as favourites.
"We like to think we've got the edge but we've got to go out and prove that," said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362 while talking to the media reporters ahead of the first One Day International of the series to be played in Dubai.
"We believe we're a very good one-day side but once the game begins, then we've got to go out and play good one-day cricket. We know we've got to play really well to beat them," he added further.
The Tillakaratne Dilshan-led Sri Lankan side stands number two on the ODI table, just behind http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, while Pakistan are rated sixth.
Marsh also expressed satisfaction over his job as the Lankan coach.
"I'm really enjoying my job. The Sri Lanka players are a great bunch of lads and they all work really hard. They've set long and short-term goals and we are working towards reaching them."
Sri Lanka and Pakistan have so far faced off in 121 One Day Internationals, with Pakistan winning 71, while the Lankans prevailed in 46. Of the last five ODIs played between the two sides, the green shirts have won three, while the
Islanders could seal two games in their way.
The Pakistani skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq, also agreed the Lankans are a very good team; however, he has his hopes attached with the likes of Afridi and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Razzaq-c84421, who have been included in the One Day squad of Pakistan after making sidelines
for more than six months.
Razzaq has not made a Pakistan squad sine the last world cup semi-final against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, while Afridi has recently come out of his self imposed exile.
