Olympique Lyonnais might see Hugo Lloris leave the club when the Euros end and Les Gones are now studying profiles of potential successors including the Montpellier custodian
While talking to media a few days back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 president, Jean-Michel Aulas admitted that though the club is looking to keep hold of the star players, there will be a few departures.
“We plan to let some players leave, but we have no plans to sell our best players. I met with Lisandro and Lloris: they will be with us next season,” said the Lyon supremo.
For Aulas, Lisandro Lopez and club captain Hugo Lloris are non-transferable.
Though Lopez doesn’t really want to leave the club, the Argentine international has hinted that there might be a possibility for him to leave the club this summer.
“There will be discussion with president Jean-Michel Aulas and Remi Garde to find out where we’re going and what the ambitions of the club are,” explained http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hugo-Lloris-c16408 after receiving the award for the best goalkeeper in Ligue 1.
The veil surrounding the future of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international is a worrying sign for the Lyon management. Though Aulas and co want to keep hold of him, they are aware that the likes of AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur could offer him lucrative deals.
Knowing that holding on to the 25-year-old could be a tough ask, Les Gones are now keeping tabs on other goalkeepers among which, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Geoffrey-Jourdren-c14538 tops the list.
The 26-year-old is currently under contract at Montpellier Herault with whom he has just won the Ligue 1 Championelle.
Under contract at the Mosson until June 2016, the Frenchman has impressed Lyon goalkeeping coach Joel Bats. It must also be said that Jourdren was the last man of the best defence of Ligue 1 this term and kept 15 clean sheets throughout the season.
La Liga side Seville are also keeping tabs on Jourdren but it still remains to be seen whether he will so easily leave Champions League football for Europa League.
Joining the Gallic club seems to be a far-fetched idea as Montpellier won’t be looking to sell him for anything this summer.
