  1. Majority is in Russia, small portion in Europe.

  2. asian

  3. Yes!

(**laugh**  How's that for an ambiguous answer?)

  4. Both.

  5. Russia is considered to be eastern Europe. I would know becuase that's were I am from.

  6. Basically, Russia is Eurasian.  The division between Europe and Asia is social, and not as clear as the division between Africa and Eurasia or between Australia and Eurasia.

  7. It is both Asian AND European. That's why Russia is divided into Russia and Siberia for naming purposes. Russia being the European Russia and Siberia being the Asian Russia. It is still a single state, though.

  8. european

  9. The population base in Russia is European.  Siberia Russia is Asian.  Geographically, Russia is bi-continental.

  10. Both.

The area of Russia West of the Ural Mountains is European, everything to the East is Asian.   This where the silliness of calling Europe a continent creeps in.   It makes better sense to call the whole contiguous landmass as Eurasia.

  11. The majority of the country lies east of the Ural mountains, putting it in Asia.
