1) tree roots in monsoon are formed to give support , deciduous trees in temperate loosing foliage in autumn

2) precipitation in monsoon is distinguished by seasonal rainfall in monsoon season being high , temperate has mainly high precipitaion in winter months .

3) temp. summer highs winter at freezing or below freezing , monsoon high annual avg. temp.
