Geography A level and beyond!?

Hey! I am going into sixth form in spetember just wanted to know what should i expect?

And! What should i expect in University degree in Geography?

And! :D what kind of jobs are avialable after?

  1. I took geography for a-level and i found it really interesting, the topics don't really differ much from gcse but you go into a lot more detail in both human and physical geography, for a-level, i think you pick a few topics from both human and physical and those are the ones you will concentrate on, although that choice is usually left to the lecturer.

    In uni once again it's the same, you pick a specialised topic, usually the one you did best in or your favourite, and you just concentrate on them for your degree, with most courses letting you go out for a year into an environment that suits your degree.

    My friend took geology and now he works with Shell Oil and he finds and refines oil for them and he gets a bucket load! although i wouldn't take that as a given!
