Please answer whatever you can. I couldn't find their definitions online, so please help me out.

  1. All you need to do is use your brain, not the internet...

    1. An industrial port is one that deals in trade, not people. Examples are Rotterdam and Hamburg.

    2. Sea Floods are momentary surges of sea level that accompany large storms such as hurricanes.

    3.  Snowmelt is water that comes from melted snow.

    4.  A drainage basin is the area of land that a river drains.

    5.  Commercial waterways are areas that are frequented by commercial ships, i.e. shipping lanes.

    6.  Barrier Islands are long, thin islands that are a short distance away from the coast, they are really just large sandbars.

    7.  Diversion spillways are passageways through which surplus water escapes, like from a reservoir or lake.
