The question of the overall prpject is evaslute the mangement stratgies between two contrasting honmeypot sites.

Conclusion:

Overall there were not many people in the stated areas because we didn’t go in peak season and therefore our results didn’t show an accurate outlook of how many people visit a year. The fencing was a necessary management strategy at Studland and Lulworth as it prevent people from going on certain areas and to prevent them from getting hurt. I feel that I answered all of my aims to some extent and discovered that management strategies are vital In order to maintain an estate. However in order to have found out whether the management strategies worked I think we should have visited in peak season and found out whether there really was enough space for everyone to park their cars etc.

I think our study did answer the question and that I realised how much management strategies affect how a national park/estate is run. The primary information we collected really gave us a good idea of how and why the results were what they were. When we measured the resource capacity it enabled us to understand the reasons for things such as signs and overflow car parks. The visitor questionnaires permitted us to ask others who were visiting what there views on the management strategies and amenities were. The personal observation sheet allowed us to voice our opinions and put down what we thought of each site and what could be improved. The bi polar analysis allowed us to compare the amenities of each site and the quality of each footpath. The management strategies activities helped us to understand why and how hard it is to maintain suitable management strategies that people will

Our study may be taken further by looking at Lulworth and Studlands websites to get a good idea of how the resource capacity is managed in the summer and spring months or if we had the opportunity to visit them again in the summer and record what we observe.
