Geography question high and low pressure point

in terms of looking at the weather map, the high and low pressure points, for low pressure, in which way is the air moving

and for high pressure, which way is it moving

im referring to the isobars( i think thats what they are called)

is it clock wise or counter clock wise

  1. It depends on the hemisphere.

    Northern High - clockwise

    Northern Low-counterclockwise

    Southern High - counter clockwise

    Southern Low - clockwise
