  1. Geography exam tomorrow? hehe   - me too! :S

    Kobe:

    Short term- 5 000 dead

1000's injured - smashed glass killed and injured loads of people

    'earthquake-proof' and other buildings collapsed

    Transport links damaged

    infrastructure damage

    spread of fire

    Long term-600 000 homeless

    Hypothermia

Economic loss- trade stopped for a while

    Meanders:

    - bend in river in the lower course of river.

    = lateral erosion

Basically- current is fastest on outside of meander curve because this is where river channel is deepest - so there is more wearing away here

On the other side of the curve, the inside, the river current is slower and a point-bar forms- this is deposited material.

sorry havent studied rocks...hope this has helped..and good luck =]
