Geometry Question (S) (Serious Answers Only) for Special Ed Students.?

So I need help real answers to these question's. Okay I was asked to make a Geometry test for some Senior Special Education students. Well I have to have answers for these three questions. These are the extra questions, so; the hardest ones in my list. These are the questions.

Find the coordinates of the midpoint of a segment having the given endpoints.

1. C(9,5),D(17,4)

2. L(-1.4,3.2), M(2.6,-5.4)

I cannot figure these out for some reason and the test needs to be done by tomorrow morning.

You add the two x coordinates and divide by 2 then add the y coordinates and divide by 2.
