  1. 1. x^2- x -72

    step one.

    minus a x so you have x-72

      then add 72 to both times so then x=72

    #2

    simpified it ='s

    -8a + 24

    then

    - 24 from both sides and  then

    is simplifes to

    -8a=-24

    then divide both sides by -8 so A=3

    #3

    10^3 x n^2 - 15 m^2 x n

    1000 x n^2 -15m^2x n

    1000x 2N^2= 15m^2

    so ='s

    66 2/3rd times N = M (i think that one really confused me)

    #4

    x^2 +12x +36

    same as

    x^2 + 12x = -36

    square root both sides to cancel the ^2

    so

    13x = 6

    divide by 13

    so x = .46 same as x= 23/50ths

    #5

    x^2 - 64

    same as

    x^2 = 64

    square root both sides and the answer is

    x= 8
