  1. Its not hard, but graph paper is good to have. I'm not sure i can do it w/o. It sounds 7th-8th grade question, but i dont have graph paper!

  2. Egads.

    1.You need to use the distance formula three times to find the length of each side of the triangle.

    s1=√[(-6-1)²+(-3+1)²]

    =√[(-7)²+(-2)²]

    =√[49+4]

    =√53

    s2=√[(1-1)²+(-1+5)²]

    =√[(0)²+(4)²]

    =√16

    =4

    s3=√[(1+6)²+(-5+3)²]

    =√[(7)²+(-2)²]

    =√[49+4]

    =√53

    Perimeter =s1+s2+s3=√53+4+√53=4+2√53

    2. You need to use the distance formula five times to find the length of each side of the pentagon.  How fun.

    s1=√[(-6+4)² +(2-7)²]

    =√[(-2)² + (-5)²]

    =√[4+25]

    =√29

    s2=√[(-4-0)²+(7-4)²]

    =√[(-4)²+(3)²]

    =√[16+9]

    =√25

    =5

    s3=√[(0-0)²+(4-0)²]

    =√[(0)²+(4)²]

    =√[0+16

    =√16

    =4

    s4=√[(0+4)²+(0+3)²]

    =√[(4)²+(3)²]

    =√[16+9]

    =√25

    =5

    s5=√[(-4+6)²+(-3-2)²]

    =√[(2)²+(-5)²]

    =√[4+25]

    =√29

    Perimeter is the sum of the sides, so √29+5+4+5+√29 or 14+2√29
