Australia’s national T20 skipper George Bailey is eager to find a death overs specialist bowler who could restrict runs in the latter stages of the match, as the mighty Aussies look forward  to build a squad for the 2014 http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20 Championship, to be
held in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747.
The T20 extravaganza is just over a year away and with the Kangaroos scheduled to play relatively few T20 matches over the next 12 months, courtesy back to back Ashes series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, the Aussies are looking forward to find a balanced squad, as they
aim to improve in last year’s semi-final appearance.
Bailey’s comments have come after a 2-0 T20 series whitewash at the hands of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758. The hosts lost the first T20 International by five wickets, and fell short of two runs in the second encounter. The basic reason behind Australia’s comprehensive series
defeat at the hands of the Lankan http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ben-Laughlin-c47596 conceding 20 runs in the final over, 19 from the last five deliveries.
It may be noted here that the Australian selectors had picked up a line-up studded with the bowlers who had specialised in death bowling during the recently concluded Big Bash League.
"That's probably the gap between the best T20 team in the world and the seventh best," Bailey said while speaking to the media reporters after losing the second and final T20 International in Melbourne by two runs. "Hopefully we'll learn a lot about that.
I think we've got some bowlers in our side who can be world-class at T20. There's great foundations there. I thought http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mitchell-Aaron-Starc-c76392 has been outstanding, Glenn Maxwell's two back-to-back games have been really good with
the ball. There's some good stuff there.”
"There's a huge opportunity there for a bowler to step up, and not just for T20. I think if a bowler can step up and nail their death stuff they're almost walking into our one-day side as well. If I was a bowler it would have to be a huge source of excitement,
something certainly to be working towards," added the 30-year-old Tasmanian batsman, who was appointed as the national T20 skipper early last year.
