Apparently he has a real bad spine condition and he won't be able to dance ever again without breaking his back. Those are just petty rumors going around. So what's the real truth?

  1. Some business about 'curvature' of the spine. THOUSANDS of people have that - and if he really has it, if it were that bad, do you REALLY think he could hang SIDEWAYS from the lamp-post? Most people can't even hang upright from one ! ! !

I thought the thumbs-down children had gone back to school, but obviously this one hasn't......

  2. He has a spine deasie which makes him blind in his right eye

he has had this before he said it is painful but he will continue dancing for his family and his fans

    xox

  3. He suffers from a rare condition called Scheuermanns disease, which affects developing bones in children and teenagers and can cause a curvature of the spine.

doctors have warned him he should stop breakdancing in case it leaves him permanently disabled.

The condition even caused him to go temporarily blind in one eye for two months around Christmas time

  4. He has an inward curvature of the lower spine, the papers made a lot of it, it would be very unlikely to "cripple him" bit of a publicity stunt me thinks. These shows have to ad hear to very strict health and safety guidelines and he would have had a medical before taking part for insurance purposes. If he was likely to be hurt, he wouldn't have been able to enter.

  5. Hey! Yeah .. i heard that it was really, really bad but in my own views i dont think it actually is mate :)

I was researching for an article i'm doing for a ICT news letter for school and came across wikipedia! :D

George Sampson suffers from a rare disease called 'Scheuermann's disease' which affects developing bones of young children and teenagers whilst growing up and can cause a curvature of the spine. The condition even caused him to go temporarily blind in one eye for two months around Christmas time, Sampson said to The Sun Newspaper. "The eye was all inflamed. I'd been using Deep Heat for my sore back, so at first I just thought I'd got it in my eye. But I ended up blind," he said. "The spinal nerves were trapped and it affected my optic nerves, I lost all my coordination and it was really hard to dance, as I didn't have my balance. I kept bumping into everything." Although his eyesight was restored, doctors have said he must immediately go to hospital at the first sign of any soreness in his right eye. Despite the scare, Sampson went ahead to compete and win the talent show, and has said nothing will prevent him from performing. "There's no way I'd ever give up dancing. Nothing would stop me," he told the paper. However, since the revelation George said "It's not that bad." and claims that his doctor has said he's allowed to dance

    Thats all i know :)

  6. if there was any truth in a spine desease etc..

his mother wouldnt have let him do bgt

  7. A genuine doctor has said to him that he has a rare spine disease which doesn't allow it to grow properly. It doesn't mean he'll break his back, just means it will hurt him and could cripple him slightly. If it was that bad then the doctors would actually stop him from dancing but at the moment they're just advising him not to.

  8. I dont think its true... Cause if he had back problems he wouldn't be dancing around on that show.

  9. he has a spine curvature nd he shouldnt dance but he says he will carry on until it totally stops him (if it comes to tht) x

  10. He has Scheurman's disease. It is a curvature of the spine. It usually occurs around age 15 and lasts 2 years and corrects itself (if you are lucky). He went blind in one eye for 2 months around Christmastime (not a good sign). The doctors told him to stop dancing or he'll be crippled, but he refuses to stop. So, it's not looking good. I wish I could say that all of this is just a lie, but it's not. He can take a break now that he won, but I guess there is the Royal Variety show. Poor George.

  11. he said on all his interviews thet there is nothing to worry about.

he DOES have a spine desise and he musnt dance if it hurts doctors orders but the doctors say he is fine...

dont worry george will never stop dancing like he se.

bacicly it is a curvature of the sine that hits fast growing adolesnt teens.

    george is soo cute.!
