  1. That was just the beer and cocaine effect.

  2. I've never heard him be not articulate. I've paid more attention since people have said this and I still haven't noticed it.

  3. It's easy to talk to people who understand your language. It's a little harder to get a NY'er or Connecticut Yankee let alone a left coaster to hear what your saying.

  4. Apparently he is much more passionate about defending the state's right to execute mentally retarded children.

  5. I agree,  compare tapes of his speeches in the late 90's to today. The decline is shocking.

Damage to the brain from alcoholism is cumulative and sometimes does not become evident until later in life.

Bush drank heavily for 20+ years (years 20-40) and it is not unusual for symptoms such as speech disorders to manifest themselves starting at age 50.

He certainly hes become more incoherent in the past 6 years and will continue to do so.

When he was Governor he sounded normal and had an average vocabulary. Today he sounds like a moderately r****d person wiTh a 10th grade vocabulary.

  6. Well, the media is "hanging" on every word that the man says.  so, everything he says is going to be magnified and blown out of proportion.

A little experiment for you to do: hang around with your very best friend (it has to be him or her).  Then, as he or she speaks or actually does anything, look for any kind of a mistake - big, small, in-between!  Be hypercritical of every word spoken or action taken or done by this very good friend.  I'm sure that you will find many things to be critical of and be even more aware of the fact that he or she, like ALL persons, is capable of making mistakes, misjudgments, misunderstandings, misrreadings, errors, missteps, miscues, slips, and so on.  Just like the rest of us - anyone is capable of "messing up" and is usually wrong sometime in their lives.

Don't be so quick to judge.  Someone might be watching you and what you say or do.  What might people say abut you then?
