Question:

George Washington University?

I just visited GW this week and I LOVED it! But I don't know if I have a good chance of getting in. My grades are generally A-/B+ range and I got a 2090 on the SAT. I'm a teaching assistant at my dance studio, I've been on the swim team since freshman year. I'm a member of my school's debate society, choir, and the Spanish National Honor Society. I also currently work at Dunkin' Donuts and last summer I had two lifeguarding jobs.

I also was wondering about the admissions interviews, and if it would be beneficial for me to schedule one. Thank you so much for your advice!

  1. whoa that's weird. Me and my sis are both going to GWU...and I'm also an incoming senior.

I really can't say I'm going there because I haven't applied yet, but my cousin got accepted last year and I'm applying this year and I definitely have a stronger GPA/SAT score than he did.

    My advice:

If you really want to go to GWU, apply ED by Nov 4th. they usually give ED applicants first priority.

  2. Your SAT score looks very good as do your grades, its also great to have lots of extracurricular activities that you have been consistently participating throughout high school. George Washington has become a pretty competitive school but I think you stand a good chance. I would definitely schedule an admissions interview if given the chance. It shows the school how interested you are and gives you a chance to prove your worth so the school sees you as a person and not just another application.
