George Washington was jack ****! He is a loser! Just casue he got lucky and won a few battles and brainwashed people to vote for him he is famous!!!! he owned slaves!!!!! He didn't do anything!!!! I am a better person than him! I suggest we take him off the dollar bill, rename Washington DC and state, and put other peoples on them instead. Oh yeah, take his birthday away tooo!!!! Who is with me!!!!

1) Use spell check so you don't look like such an idiot. And possibly learning your history instead of making it up might help also.

2) George Washington was NOT voted on, he was selected by his peers.

3) George Washington never brainwashed anyone, in fact he didn't like speaking to people at all, he gave no speeches nor did he try to get people "over to his side". And he wasn't exactly pleased with the request that he become the President and wished to go home to his farm.

5) He wasn't a wealthy man by any means and actually had to borrow money to travel to his own inauguration. Yes, he did own some slaves, like every single one of the "founding fathers" and thousands of other people around the world at that particular time

4) He was an extremely experienced soldier, outdoors man and quite the frontiersman. He worked the land as a farmer and as a professional surveyor and had a lumber business.... not exactly what you could call a rich man's job.

5) He was a dearly respected military commander by the American soldiers under his command, which means they trusted him and his orders. He didn't TAKE charge, he was PUT in charge. Huge difference.

6) He was a man that completely believed in education and hard work and even though he didn't really try to do many things in life, he did succeed in what he did attempt, not what you would call a "loser".

7) His fame came from his ability and only his ability, and nothing more.

8) He didn't like his "fame".

9) There was no dollar bill nor a Washington DC during his lifetime, so he had absolutely nothing to do with it, the American people did.

10) His was CHOSEN to command the entire American Army AND the French Army and French Fleet as Commander in Chief during the American Revolution and had a huge respect for his French commanders and recognized their joint efforts.

11) He commanded a military operation of mostly farmers against THE strongest, most deadly, and most powerful military army in the WORLD and won.

12) He was a strong, quiet, soft spoken man who would have been completely embarrassed of the actions of his fellow Americans in naming places and states after him and would probably have disapproved also and would have thought that celebrating his birthday would have been the most pantyassed thing anyone could have ever done.

13) He loved his country and its people and did what they asked of him even though he didn't want to.
