  1. silva in every aspect, apart from looks...ha.ha

  2. Silva. Though GSP is arguably the textbook prototype of an "Mixed Martial Arts" athlete from a physical evaluation, I think he lacks the intangibles and the pure dominance of a Fedor or Silva. I find him more overall technically sound in reference to that prototype than both Fedor or Silva, yet St Pierre obviously lacks the mental focus as competitors these guys have, and Silva especially brings an aura of dominance with him that is almost transcendent. Their isn't an opponent in either man's weight class who can entertain the notion of being more skilled than them, yet GSP has flaws in his psyche that Silva does not- regardless of how technically proficient or "textbook" St Pierre may be.

  3. St.Pierre, only because of his Ground and Submission are FAR better than Silva

  4. GSP, because he doesn't get easily mounted by the likes of Travis Lutter, and isn't protected like A. Silva is.

    E

  5. i think gsp A. silva is bad but i havent seen any wrestling or take down defense from him (he finishes his fights to early lol)...so id have to go with gsp since hes not just a striker .. he mixes things up and trains in alot of different areas but both guys are great fighters

  6. Silva....none of silva's fights in the UFC have gone past the second round. silva is better on the ground and standing up, black belt in jiu jitsu and Muay Thai expert. no one is better in the thai clinch in my opinion silva is gonna have more trouble in the 205lb. weight class tho, alot more bad *** fighters... but gsp is definately the best welterweight ever...

  7. Anderson Silva is a more well rounded fighter. The biggest difference in these two fighters is Anderson Silva's improvisational skills. GSP is one of the greatest fighters, pound for pound, in the world, but his style is almost mechanic. Anderson adapts to the style of his opponent quickly, and capitalizes on their weakness. GSP, on the other hand, makes his opponents fight his game. Anytime he's taken out of his game, he struggles. When Anderson is taken out of his game he adapts and improvises a new strategy to prevail.

  8. Anderson Silva. GSP is light years behind him. GSP is a good martial artist but he does not have the focus of Silva which is what makes him unbeatable.

  9. I love GSP! (no homo!) he's my favorite fighter, and the best 170 in my opinion, but he's still beatable because he's human....Silva is a demon fighter from h**l and impossible to beat, plus GSP is 170 and Anderson is a 185 pounder who can own 205er's.
