who wins? thiago looked very good striker with decent takedown defense i was impressed. he knocked matt hughes the greatest welterweight fighter with flying knee kick, is this fight going to be good? i know gsp is all good and he's very explosive and great mma wrestler and he's pretty strong who manhandled matt hughes in wrestling. and i want to see gsp fighting anderson silva, and rampage jackson and mirko crocop and some of heavyweights regardless of his weight class, because it's going to be interesting to see gsp fighting some of the heavier and stronger guys..

  1. Thiago isn't at GSP's level yet.  Alves couldn't beat Fitch, and GSP will, most likely, beat Fitch.  At the Welterweight level, pretty much nobody can beat GSP.  He's just to strong and skilled for anybody in his division.

GSP will most likely get a No Contest or lose in a split decision against Anderson Silva, same with Rampage and Crocop.  The Light Heavyweights are too big and strong for him.

  2. Its a good fight, but GSP would still win. Matt Hugheslost because he wasn't explosive. His takedowns were slow and Alves saw them coming. Not to mention that Alves was alot bigger than Matt. I know he weighed in at 174 but he probably spent the entire time after the weigh-in eating and drinking to gain back energy. He looked HUGE in that fight. Anyways, GSP is very explosive and I don't see Alves being able to stuff the takedowns of GSP, when he also has to worry about the hands of Rush.

  3. after watching GSPs past few fights, exluding the loss to serra

its safe to say hes a beast.   hes really athletic and his striking complements his wrestling well.  he'll take anyone down, beat them down or control them

  4. GSP, no question

  5. PSG!!-Backwards..oops

  6. St. Pierre will not fight Thiago, theres NO money in that. B.J. Penn will move up to 170 and fight. Thats a huge PPV as well as a big rematch for BJ. Especially since BJ destroyed St. Pierre and SOMEHOW lost a spilt decission. Which btw was such a B.S. decission, that BJ left the UFC for a long time.

I see no other fight than that after Georges destroys Fitch.

And I also have to add....who is the guy talking about st. pierre fighting rampage and cro cop. Is this guy retarded? I know you can cut weight, and some (like bj penn) can add a little. But are you gonna even think in your mind that a 170 lb guy is gonna gain 30-60 lbs? Are you insane? He'd have to go to 205 for rampage and around 230-240 to fight the average heavy weight, like cro cop. And why would he even gain to 185? Georges is a natural 170 and he has also cut to 155. Thats his range. So he should put on 15 more lbs to fight Silva (who btw is a guy who prob walks around normal in the low 200's before cutting, and easily in the high 190's at fight time. Why am I even explaining this?

  7. GSP will win, no doubt.  The fight between Thiago and Matt was very unfair.  Matt shouldn't have taken the fight. Thiago looked close to 200 lbs.  But if Thiago can make weight and fight, my money goes on GSP!

  8. I don't know.  Both are young, hungry and have mad skills.  Since I have seen more of GSP, I will have to give him the win.

I doubt Alves will get a shot anytime soon.

  9. I think GSP will win. He's the better fighter. More well rounded than Thiago.

  10. matt hughes  should have retired after his last fight with GSP hes old and washed up. GSP will beat thiago alves for sure and hes not gonna leave his weight class thats the class hes the best at so he'll stay there

  11. First off to BRAD T. obviuosly you dont pay attention to the ufc, because if you did, you would know that george st.pierre said live on tv that he was thinking about moving up a weight class to fight anderson silve. so learn before you speak.

Alves isn't ready to fight GSP . not the same level
