Georges St-Pierre signs deal with NOS Energy Drink – UFC News
Georges St-Pierre, welterweight mixed martial artist, has signed a deal with NOS Energy Drink, a subsidiary of Coca Cola. Georges St-Pierre is making his comeback to UFC after almost eighteen months and the welterweight fighter is hopeful that he will make
it better than before.
“I feel very privileged. It's great we can work together to create a product to best fit the athlete, and with NOS that's what it's all about. I'm very happy to be in the family of Coca-Cola right now and to be associated with the product,” said Georges
St-Pierre.
“It gives me more support for training and gets me to perform better,” he added.
Georges St-Pierre is currently scheduled to face Carlos Condit. If he wins against Condit, he will move onto fight middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Silva has already revealed that he is not bothered with GSP’s win or loss. Silva has already selected
GSP as his next opponent for next year.
However, what is important here is the fact that UFC President Dana White is unsure as to whether the fight between GSP and Silva will happen or not. According to White, the super-fight will only happen if GSP is able to defeat Condit. White believes even
though GSP is a great fighter, since he is returning after a long time, the organisation has to see whether he is able to take on tougher challenges.
For now, GSP feels honoured with NOS Energy Drink’s endorsement, believing it is a motivation for him to do even better in the sport. Since he is returning after a long time, GSP believes he will have to fight better than ever in order to maintain his image.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has recently gone through quite a lot. With UFC 151’s fall, the organisation is looking forward to create exciting cards for fans. Jon Jones, light heavyweight champion, is excited with the idea of GSP vs. Silva and hopes
it will happen. It will be the first ever super-fight in the history of mixed martial if it ever happens. Similarly, even GSP is looking forward to it, even though he will have to move up in weight.
