Question:

Georgia,Russia and NATO

It seems as that Europe and America support Georgia in this conflict, and I doubt any other country in the area likes Russia flexing their military power as they are. To avoid any more conflict, why doesn't Europe and America just allow Georgia to join NATO in a accelerated process? There's no way Russia would try to start a dispute with all of NATO.

  1. Osetian Proletariat must use the Georgian people`s opposition to Saakashvili to ferment unrest in Georgia.Remember the lessons of Lenin!

", Mikhail Saakashvili is facing much the same display of popular discontent himself. His reaction was harsher than the treatment he received at the hands of Eduard Shevardnadze, the man he deposed. Riot police have tear-gassed demonstrators, beaten with them with truncheons, attacked them with rubber bullets and water cannons. Journalists have been beaten up, two television stations taken off the air and a state of emergency has been imposed. The Rose revolution appears to be shedding its petals".

The best allie Osetia has is Georgian Proletariat.A blend of military actions, nation wide strikes, and sabotage will oust Saakashvili , a tyranic and corrupt  ruler , a sold out puppet of US Imperialism.

"Georgian workers! , Dont kill or die for the sake of the traitor and sell out pro-imperialist Government of Georgia!"

"Georgian Soldier!Turn your weapons against those officers that obey the orders of the corrupt " Georgian Capitalist class" !

Your flag is the flag of Proletariat, the Red Flag!

    Long live Working Class Internationalism!

    For Proletariat´s Dictatorship !

Now that there is a world recession looming!

Now that Imperialism is stuck in the Iraqi Quagmire!

Now that food´s price is skyrocketing!

Now that the enemy is weak!

Now that there are bank runs in the powers of the World!

Now that world`s Bourgeoisie is split and confused!

    Print the flyiers! Comrades!

We love crisis! The door for us is open , again!

  2. This is the process of balkanization where you see more and more countries break apart into separate individual states! It is prevalent in that region! Unless Putin puts a stop to this process it will continue until even Russia is no longer a super power!

  3. USA tried to install nuclear capable missiles in Georgia.

Don't kid yourself. Europe is not all that in favour of what America was playing at either.

And if you don't think Russia is ready to take on NATO you take another look at Putin.

If you were playing poker with him, and you just raised and he raised back, how sure would you be he is bluffing.

I don't think he plays poker, I think he plays chess.

and I think you just lost two pawns, a bishop and a rook.

  4. Well, I believe that that is the second part of the plan, and right now, the U.S. is trying to get a mutual cease fire, then induct Georgia into NATO.

  5. While much can be said about Putin (Medevev is ornamentation), the conversation should also include he's raised the standard of living for most Russians and returned to the nation some of it's past glory.  What's not being widely reported is that many of Russia's former states wish to once again be a part of the Federation.

Both Clinton and Bush made a mistake by weakening Serbian sovereignty and this erroneous path should not be followed; the current conflict is a regional matter for Russia and we have no business interfereing.

  6. NATO is comprised of weak kneed little girls, mary's, pantie waists. Georgia joining NATO isn't going to stop the maniacal b*****d Putin. He laughs in the face of democracy. Hey you peace-nick's! Go bug Putin.

  7. In contrast of what EU shows, she is strongly dependent on Russian Federation.

1/3 of gas and oil to Europe is supplied by Russia, and Russia remains EU's largest trade partner.

This means EU (and NATO) needs good relations with Russia, while nature of NATO is to confront Russia.

With the situation getting more serious, I think NATO would rather forget about Georgia's membership rather than tensing relations with Russia.

It's obvious that Georgia's leadership has led the country to become the target of Russia-West cold war.

Besides, it doesn't mean that being a member of NATO will protect Georgia from Russian 'invasion' or 'aggression'.

It doesn't mean that all other NATO members will become enemy of Russia for another member of NATO.

For the proof, just see how much disagreement exists between some NATO-member countries. Take Turkey and Greece as example. Both are NATO members but they are almost enemies.

So, do you think - for example - Turkey will attack or confront Russia for the sake of Georgia (if Georgia is in NATO). I don't think so.

Even in NATO alliance, national interests of members is above everything. I mean national interests is prior to everything.

It's impossible to predict, but I wait a very unstable 4-year period for Georgia in internal politics, which will be a ban from joining NATO - since political stability is important in joining NATO.

Saakashvili doesn't have few opponents, the elections in January (I think it was January) was followed by mass protests.

War with Russia will give Georgia a hard time, facing probably economic sanctions, cutting Georgian imports, closing borders etc. will make the situation harder for Saakashvili's leadership.

Anyway, we should just wait and watch.

  8. You are naive as a newborn...

Nato will do nothing with Russia because it will gain nothing in the war and NATO's interaction will bring losses and damage to NATO itself...

Russia is too strong and it's people is stronger and  much more resistant to any difficulties, would you make a confrontation with such a giant? What will be your support? Do you have ressources or they are concentrated in the countries with non-democratic regimes, ha?

  9. I thought we learned in OEF that NATO is a joke.
