my apartment in GA got water damaged because apparently water is dripping from upstairs to downstairs. It wet my carpet and soaked my bed, now it smells awlful in here. Maintenance came and fix the problem upstairs but i was left with a soaked bed and smelly carpets, my mom said that management has to pay for the clean up and bed because it was from inside the walls of the apartment the problem occured. Is that true? Plus I dont have renters insurance......

  1. If the apartment has been wet for more than 72 hours, you are living in mold.  Take your copy of the lease to a free legal aid storefront and see if those living conditions will allow you to break the lease.  You need to move out, fast.

  2. i agree with always on

  3. Yes.Calculate and keep receipts ! They are liable.Good luck.

  4. you could try to obtain as much as resource as you can by search the keyword in search engine,if you have good luck there, then your problem solved.however,if you could not find the answer by doing that, here is the relevant resource i prefered.http://insurance.free-onlinetip.info/ins...

  5. Home insurance covers lots of different things. I'm not familiar with all the details of my policy, but my homeowners insurance agent is always a phone call away. Try calling your agent or a homeowners agent in your city. http://www.usinsuranceadvisor.com/Home-I... They should be able to assist you.
