Georgia Elokobi, Viewing, and Homestead Forest confirmed their ownership for the purse in the BAGS / SIS 500 Heats
The Monmore meeting, held on the 3rd of October, organised three shows for the BAGS/SIS 500 Heats. Three fortunate winners, who were the first to cover the 480 meters distance in the Grade A5 event, were rewarded with a prize money of £150 each.
The show started off with the first heat. The trap doors opened at 4:08pm so that the hounds could commence their chase.
Trainer C Allsopp’s Corrig Blue, a three-year-old b***h, began her chase from trap 2 as the most ideal hound of the race. Unfortunately, the hound got herself crowded at the fourth bend.
Meanwhile, trainer K Bebbington’s dark brindle dog, Homestead Forest, who was placed in trap 3 with odds of 3/1, tremendously railed through the track with a swift pace.
His energy not only helped him whitewash the favourite of the race, but also allowed him the pleasure of winning the purse for his trainer.
The three-year-old hound took 28.82 seconds to get hold of the finish line.
Heat 2 was all set to break out blaze on the track after the conclusion of the first show. The result of the second chase was same as the first heat of the event.
Watching Viewing, a black dog, display an outclass pace, presented an eye catching performance.
Viewing's prompt and abrupt attitude assisted him in whitewashing the most favourite hound of the race, Cockney Jewel.
Trainer P Slater’s 5/2 favourite, Cockney Jewel, was quick from the start but her pace was not enough to compete with K Turner’s Viewing, entering the race with with 3/1 odds.
The trap 4 racer, Viewing, dashed through the rail and confirmed his ownership of the purse in 28.83 seconds.
The last show of the event, the thrid heat, saw trainer P Burford’s Georgia Elokobi in the limelight as the black b***h, with odds of 2 to 1, began her chase from trap 3.
Wearing white and black jacket, the young champ began her chase with a slow and sure attitude, gradually increasing her speed and surging through the track with immense speed.
The two-year-old hound took 28.83 seconds to win the purse of the BAGS / SIS 500 – Heat 3.
