Reporters have got into villages that the russians have barred them from.Interestingly,it seems that the russians, rather than committing inhumane acts themselves, have been giving the green light to South Ossestian para militaries. It is they who have been doing most of the killing. They have moved out of south ossestia and going into georgian villages, killing mainly the old and unarmed and then looting everything and lastly setting fire to the homes.Their purpose is not political, but solely for looting reasons. The killings and local pop exterminations are a side fun product of the main show of stealing.Anyone still feeling sorry for the alleged oppressed ossetians might be in need for brain surgery.200 dead 191 soldiers and 9 ossetians,in the first assault by georgia, but for the first time today on the news it's thought several hundred georgian civilians have died at the hands of the S.O.paramilitary,about 80% outside the disputed region and climbing each day. They are armed by Russia.Europe can't decide what to do as they don't want to hurt trade with Russia, thank god proper pressure is coming from America.l feel ashamed of being a European at times

  1. Well said.

I could not have put it any better.

The Russians are laughing at us.

  2. Its called revenge. After all 2000 or so of them were bombed for no reason

  3. Nothing has been diverted yet.  A ceasefire was called.  Ceasefire has occurred, but people are still fighting.  Russia states it is not attacking, but it is arming the para-military forces who wish to break away from Georgia.  They are just arming a force to carry out their wants.

Easiest way to avoid blame.  Provide supplies and training, but don't personally engage.

  4. Georgia is just asking for trouble

the only reason they assaulted (my opinion) was because they knew USA and EU would support them after helping them in Iraq

its only fair that russia gets their land back and loot or demand a price to repay the wasted bullets and all for this needless war

Evidence on Georgia starting the war WIKI:

The 2008 South Ossetia war formally began on August 7, 2008 with a military attack by Georgia into South Ossetia

  5. If it wasn't for the European Union we could have easily had WW3 with the rhetoric the US were coming out with.

I live in Europe, I'm not ashamed but proud of what the EU have achieved/diverted.

For once they have earned their corn in my eyes, having a nuclear war on our continent isn't how i want to live !! :)

  6. There is no doubt that there is a moral flaw among some of the people of the Caucasus and those of the slavic tribes to judge by what has happened in Bosnia and now S. Ossetia. They seem to go wild and very blood-thirsty when they are let loose. Some are likely to be just bandits who are taking advantage of the chaos and may even be opportunistic Georgians on the rampage. We have to be careful not to believe everything the Georgians are saying. Reporters can also be easily led by the nose when they are in a foreign country and have to rely on interpreters. Without the wherewithal to verify what they see, they have to take things at face value and rely on what they are told. It will not be the first time the world's press is manipulated by one side.

  7. It sounds like the Russian leadership needs to be brought up before the ICC.

Of course I do not expect the Europeans to have the gonads to do this.

  8. Don't feel too bad. Everyone is aware that Europe has much to overcome. There are some major hurdles to contend with when your continent was flooded with Muslims and Communist countries were freed upon the world. Face it, tearing down the Berlin wall might not have been such a good idea after all.

To be honest, the tepid response from NATO nations that allowed this to happen in the first place has been better than we could have expected just 5 years ago. I believe that both Germany and France now realize that their actions were the cause of this and have now changed their tunes. It was quite a reversal for the German Chancellor to say that Georgia was now on the fast track to membership.

As for France, it is a good day if you don't have a knife in your back. God I hate frogs.
