Does anyone else agree with russian that the western media is totally biased.

I believe that russia has done nothing wrong!

Yes I do agree with you, I watch the Politics and News from both sides. There is alot of Hypocritical talking from the West. Georgia started this by attacking thinking 'with encouragement by Some in the West' that they would be backed up by Nato 'really the US'. After the Kosovo recognition they are hypocrites to talk about Russia's recognition of south ossetia. Besides the Poland Us missile Base that the US has signed is provoking in itself who are they trying to fool that it is to protect against Iran in the middle East. Now the Russians are going to sign a deal with Syria to install a base there. More alarming to me is the fact that Nato 'really the US' has sent Battleships into the region with 'Humanitarian Aid' since when do you send Battleships with such Cargo especially considering the tensions in the Region, Planes what have been the obvious option!.

a) you certainly can't believe what politicians tell you, or

b) you certainly can't believe what the newspapers tell you either

so that makes it impossible to make a rational and objective judgement about who is right

I agree, it seems there is one rule for america and nato,ie kosovo, and another for russia. Why were nato not prosecuted for war crimes, read Pilger for what really went down. Strange that the russians captured an american, no news of this on cnn

It is very biased. Again few recognise in many cases the people of South Ossetia want to be part of the Russian Federation. Georgia has massive western support, particularly from the States so by rights the British get involved and continue its bias. ( How long must we continue to pay back America for its support during the war?)

I agree that Georgia and the Ukraine should have the right to join NATO and the right to make democratic choice. However when even China publicly state that they deplore Russia's actions it smacks of hypocracy.

It is not even a difference in capitalist and communist ideals anymore - it will be an opportunity for the states to flex their mercenary muscle - lucky Ukraine.

Neither party was without fault.

Georgia knew that if they f**ked with S. Ossetia, the Russia would f**k with them. However, Russia used completely excessive force, and was just looking for an excuse.

I agree, however, that the american media is biased a little. that doesn't mean that Russia was right.

they have invaded a sovereign state so they are wrong. georgia didnt attack russia they were dealing with internal affairs and russia invaded them.

Yeah, I could care less what Russia does to Georgia, what the Serbs do to Moslems, or what the Israelis and Palestinians do to each other.  These are problems those people and those people only should have to worry about.  Frankly as an American I'd be happy to leave those people to their own devices.  What ethnic group is killing another at a higher rate somewhere in Central Asia is no business of ours.

I dont really care.  That is a Georgia-Russia issue.  Im sick of the rest of the globe, most specifically the US, trying to police and bully people in to what they want them to do, when they blatantly disregard the same standards they hold everyone else to (see Iraq invasion).

Under international law S. Ossetia was a part of Georgia.

Have you notice that the Russians set up a government they completely control there?  S, Ossetia is now nothing more than a Soviet style client state.

You must be a liberal - always support authoritian governments over democracies.
