  2. Well, that's not really the case, no. And there's no danger of fighting like this breaking out anywhere in the USA any time soon. When gangs start using IEDs against police in the USA, then get worried.

  3. Practically there are no Russians neither in Georgia, neither in Southern Ossetia. Ossetians is a nationality of their own. But there about 300 000 of Georgians in Russia.

Conflict: after the separation of Georgia from Russia, S. Ossetia (who live there at least for 1000 years or more) didn't want to be part of Georgia, in 1992-94 there were war and S. Ossetia gained de-facto independence. The local population got the Russian passports, because it was easy: you had to have old Soviet passport  and close relatives (siblings, parents, children) in Russia and since Northern Ossetia is a part of Russia everybody had them (ossetians are a small nation). Now 90% of Ossetians have Russian passports.\ and don't want to be a part of Georgia, because they're scared by what it's forces did in 92-94.

  4. If it's Mexico you are talking about in terms of immigration with the US, and mexicans become the majority, I still highly doubt that Mexico would try to reclaim the west. They know how it is to have illegals from Central America. They have their own problems rather than worrying about land seized from them 200 years ago. The russians I think are trying to get more resources from Georgia.

  5. you bet ye it can happen to us, it is one sure way for mexico to reclaim california.
