Gerald Majola to retain his position and IPL money – Cricket News Update

embezzled.
This issue has been a bone of contention between Majola and the board Chief Executive, Mtutuzeli Nyoka - the former sacked the latter who got restored after winning a court case and launched a probe into the financial scam.
The board members, in their annual meeting last week, had a hot debate on the matter and came up with consensus to let the president keep his rank and bank intact.
Majola’s position was at stake before the meeting that held on August 20 but all the board members unanimously decided to let him work. The meeting was chaired by the CSA vice-president, AK http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319, in absence of Nyoka who was being perceived to be the biggest
threat to Majola.
The issue of the board’s financial scam erupted a year back when Nyoka challenged Majola’s alleged embezzlement of the funds and bonuses the CSA received from the Indian cricket authorities as hosting fee for the IPL-2.

As per the reports, Majola distributed the funds among some of his staff without bringing the matter in the notice of the president and other authorities of the board. When Nyoka pointed out the corrupt practice, he was showed the door.
An independent audit was conducted some weeks back and the auditors, in their report filed recently, also blamed Majola for mismanagement of the funds.
Despite this long running row, Majola has succeeded in saving his job but earned too much humiliation and disrespect in the country. Cricket has also suffered a lot in this mess.
Now, Majola is committed to work sincerely and diligently for the betterment of the game by setting all the issues aside.
