Gerard Deulofeu determined to stay with Barcelona
Gerard Deulofeu, the 17-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296
and understandably has been under the radar for many top sides.
However, the highly rated youngster insisted he was not interested in a big move to sides like Arsenal and Chelsea. Deulofeu said while speaking to reporters, “I am from Barcelona and I don't want to know anything about other clubs. I want to triumph here
at Barca. We have a great opportunity with (Pep) Guardiola on the bench as he has a lot of faith in the youth players.”
He revealed while he was flattered by the comparison to Messi, he did not think he was good enough to be compared to the Argentinean. He continued, “I don't think it is good that they compare me with (Lionel) Messi. Messi is the person I look up to because
he is above everyone else and everyone would like to reach his level, however, it is better not to compare me with him.”
Sergio Canales targeted by top EPL sides
Real Madrid midfielder Sergio Canales is the subject of speculation after it emerged he was the top target for three English Premier League sides. The 20-year-old arrived at Real Madrid from Racing Santander last season after some impressive performances
which helped his struggling side gain some consistency and momentum.
He has not had the same effect on Madrid, facing tough competition from the likes of Angel Di Maria, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sami-Khedira-c32325 and Mesut Ozil in midfield. Injuries did not help him and so far he has only made 12 appearances, scoring one goal for his new side. While the
player is ready to stay with the La Liga giants and fight for a place in the first team, he might be closer to a move than he thinks.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is not particularly impressed with the Spaniard and could make the most of the interest shown by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 to try and offload the player in the upcoming summer transfer window. The above mentioned clubs
could all make use of the attacking midfielder but that does not necessarily mean he will be guaranteed first team football.
The 20-year-old Spanish midfielder is in dire need of first team football, which is the only way he can improve. Canales previously rejected a move to Bolton in the January transfer window for the same reason, lack of first team football. His best bet would
be a move to Arsenal, who are set to lose skipper Cesc Fabregas and will be looking for a replacement in midfield.
