Gerbil Birth Mark on tail

Hi

One of my gerbils has a black mark on his tail. He has had it since ive had him (6 months) it doesent seem to bother him.. is this just a birth mark

Yes its possibly just a birth mark or different skin pigmentation that he has developed after he was born.

If you've had him for 6 months and he's fine then I wouldnt worry about it - however I can't see it to tell, but if it changes in any way (ie grows a lump or something else) id take him to the vet.
