Gerbil eye problem eye closed?

Hi

I just realized one of my gerbils eyes is closed and he wont open it. Hes stil active like normal but his eye closed he kinda slowed down a little from this afternoon. What should i do thanks

Take your pet to a vet.

It may have something in its eye or an infection.

Either way, it needs to be seen by a vet to determine what is wrong. When pets keep their eyes closed it means that whatever is wrong with the eye is painful to them.

It may need something simple like drops or ointment.

it might have soming in it what bedding u use that can eritte eyes or it could judt be soming in it not sure really c how it goes if it gets anyworse then go c a vet

His eye might be irritated from bedding or it somehow got scratched.  I would leave it be for a little while.  If it looks crusty you can take a wet q-tip or wet a wash cloth with warm water and gently try to clean it off.  

If it doesn't resolve on its own or improve in a few days you may want to take him to a vet.
