Gerbils suck and are dumb!?

Okay so ignore the title, I just needed views sorry.

But anyway, I just accidentally bought Alfalfa hay from the pet store, meaning to get Timothy hay for my awesome gerbils to nest in, so and then I realized it was Alfalfa, and I put lots of it in the tank so they could nest with it, only to realize they were eating some of it, I read that Alfalfa should only be given as a treat, so ya now its all mixed in with the carefresh, do I need to change the bedding?

Aww, i thought you really meant it. Personally, if I had a gerbil I would drop it on the ground outside and say it ran away...with gloves on off course, have you seen how dirty they are?

Yes you should change the bedding out.

They cvould get very sick if you don't and they will have to go to the vet. I hope this helps! :)

You should change it, it might die from eating too much

i would strongly suggest changing the bedding. too much alfalfa can make gerbils ill. if you want to give them something to nest in, you should be able to find something at the pet store. they are specially designed nests for gerbils and they just love them. i hope this helps.
