The German international had a relatively poor first half of the season, but the veteran midfielder displayed exemplary presence in the Bremen side, that earned them a victory against Hoffenheim. Frings was impressive in the center of the midfield and played
a huge role in the outcome of the match.
Frings was superb in distributing the ball, acting as a fulcrum of the Bremen side, and seemed to have filled the void left by the departure of their talismanic player, Mesut Ozil.
After putting up a great performance in the midfield, Frings scored a spectacular goal in injury time.
Roman Neustaedter (M’Gladbach)
The 22-year old was selected ahead of USA international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Bradley-c25275 and justified his inclusion by putting up a more than convincing performance against Nuernberg. He was named man of the match for scoring the only goal of the game in the initial stages
of the first half. Apart from being a constant attacking force in the midfield, the youngster helped his side in the defense as well, and won 11 out of his 13 challenges.
Mario Goetze (Borussia Dortmund)
Talismanic Japanese attacker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 win the Asian Cup, and will be missing 4 matches for his side. Initially, it was felt that the Japanese would be sorely missed by the league leaders, and some fans feared that Dortmund
may just slip-up due to Kagawa's absence. But all those fears vanished as the 18-year old Mario Goetze filled in for him, and did exactly what Kagawa would have done had he been there. The youngster has great technique and maturity beyond his age. He also
scored a goal and proved that the absence of Shinji Kagawa won’t be missed as long as he was on the field.
Kevin Grosskreutz (Borussia Dortmund)
Another Dortmund man has made it to the list which has already been dominated by players from the best team in the Bundesliga.
Fairly anonymous in the first half, Kevin came alive after the break and scored the first goal for his side. Although his first goal was just a tap-in, his second goal was a spectacular feat. But he wasn't done showing his guile- winning the ball from Leverkusen’s
possession, he went on to set-up a goal for man-of-the-match, Mario Goetze. 2 goals and 1 assist show just how far the young striker-turned-winger has come for the Borussia Dortmund side this season.
Papiss Cisse (Freiburg)
With the score leveled at 1-1, Cisse missed a penalty and then saw his side chasing the game at 2-1. But the prolific striker made up for his early miss and scored a goal as the Freiburg side escaped from the clutches of defeat in a difficult trip to the
Millerntor Stadium- home to Saint Pauli.
The striker is in form this season and has already scored 15 goals.
