It is sort of like a big ball of bread (fist size), and it is covered in a thick mushroom cream sauce. Thanks a bunch!

  1. Knödel mit Champignonsauce

    Knödel = dumpling

    Champignon = white mushroom

    Sauce = Gravy (it is the French word, we use it in Germany with a German pronounciation)

    There is a foto, if you follow the hyperlink

  2. the ball of bread is called Knudel.  The mushroom sauce they add on top is just sauce.  No special name.. Piltz = Mushroom

  3. Possibly a dumpling. But that's not truly just German.... I believe that is it though.

  4. we call them semmelknoedel nothing other then stale bread milk eggs and spices

  5. hefeknoedel

  6. mushroom knoedel
