    school children only learn English at age 11

    even if you go to a foreign restaurant,you can still find schnitzel (pound pork)

    Depending on where you go in Eurpoe, people have different names for Germans, depending on which of the tribes from today's German territory they first got into contact with. Thus, they are called Germans in English (after the Germanic tribes), allemands in French (after the Alemanni) and the Finnish word is something like Saksa or Saksan after the Saxons. The Germans call themselves Deutsche, which is not connected to any tribe.
