German MotoGP rider Stefan Bradl aims for podium finish in 2013 – MotoGP news
Stefan Bradl’s main goal in the upcoming MotoGP season is to claim at least one podium finish, a quite realistic target keeping in mind the fact that 2013 will be Bradl’s second MotoGP season.
“My personal challenge for 2013 will be climbing the podium. For sure the competitors are very strong but the team has the potential to reach the goal,” Bradl said.
In 2012, Bradl got close to a podium finish in numerous Grand Prix rounds but always failed in the end. Thrice the German finished 5th and 4 times he finished 6th during the 2012 MotoGP season.
The Honda rider finished 8th in the final riders’ standings with a total of 135 championship points.
Bradl enjoys the liberty of having a personal trainer which, according to 23-year-old has proven quite helpful to prepare for the upcoming season due to start with off Qatar Grand Prix in
April.
“I can't wait to go back to action aboard my Honda machine. For the first time in my career I had my own personal trainer in the winter break and I trained in a completely different way,”
Bradl said.
All MotoGP riders featuring in 2013 will get to test their new bikes in the first official MotoGP test for 2013 at Sepang next week. Of course Bradl will be present at the test session along
with his LCR Honda team to try and get a feel of his 2013 bike.
“Actually I feel more prepared and it will be even better for the first race as we will get the first impressions about my physical condition in Sepang next week,” the LCR Honda rider said.
Bradl’s fans will love to see the German challenging the likes of Jorge Lorenzo, Dani Pedrosa and Valentino Rossi. From the team’s perspective, it will be imperative for Bradl to improve
on his 2012 MotoGP run. His contract with LCR Honda extends until the end on 2014. With at least two more seasons to go with the team, Bradl will definitely put in his best efforts to at least achieve the target that he has set for himself.
