  1. GERMAN SHEPARD. FOR SURE.

  2. thats soo funny you asked that!

my dog is a mix of all 3 of those breeds!!

    they are all great dogs.

german shepards-  very protective and smart

golden retriever- very playful and eneergetic

lab- loyal, calm and very smart.

all great dogs. but it depends what your looking for in a pet.

    protection, playful or calm.

  3. I'd go with the lab. Shepards can be agressive- not something you want to risk with your kids, they also require structure and training to be happy as they are very inteligent.

Retrivers love everyone and labs are very loyal and easy to train.  They tend to be less hyper and slightly easier to train than goldens.  plus with the shorter coat, you'll spend less time cleaning the dog hair off of everthing you own.

  4. Golden Retriever all the way! we have one and they are soooo good with children. They are such good family dogs. We had 2 labs, but we had to get rid of them because they were too wild. Then we got Misty, ( the golden retriever) and she was WAY more calm then the Labs.

    Hope this helps.

    Good Luck!

  5. They are all very nice dogs but need allot of exercise, I mean a real lot.

  6. Lab or Shepherd.

I NEVER recomend goldens with families. Goldens can be very hyper dogs, and hyper dogs are more likely to be nippy to small children when they are messed with in the wrong way.

German shepherds are very loving, loyal dogs. They will bond closely with your children and protect them from everything. I would say german shepherd, because not only will the love your kids, but they will be VERY protective of them! Also, they really don't need that much excercise. If they get the mental stimulation they need, they are fine. Definetly walk them at least an hour a day, but that is true for any dog. Just make sure you train them and teach them a lot of tricks to mentally stimulate them, and you will have a happy, healthy dog.

Labs aren't nearly as protective as german shepherds, but they are good dogs, and tend to remain relatively calm. Although they aren't the smartest of breeds, they are very loving and loyal. I've never really been a fan of labs myself, but I won't deny that they make good family dogs

  7. WHAT?!

don't get a German Shepherd!! their guard dogs!

believe me get a golden retriever, there so friendly with kids.

    Ask anyone.
