German Team prepares for the 2011 FIVB World League
In the wake of 2011 FIVB World League, the Men’s National Volleyball Team of Germany gets ready for the tough encounters with world’s best teams.
The leading men’s volleyball competition will hit the town this coming Friday, May 27. Teams from 16 countries of the world including Germany will enter the thrilling competition. Like other participants of the tournament, German Team gets aligned and organises
itself for the important campaign.
The head coach, Raul Lozano is all focused to get the best output from each player in the team. The Argentinean coach (Lozano) has urged the team to put up a combined effort, in order to do well and catch the limelight at the big competition. Germany returned
to FIVB World League in 2010 after a long break of seven years. It is their second consecutive year that the team has qualified for the World League. The team worked out a great performance in the qualification tournament and finished in the third slot. Nonetheless,
the coach Lozano is of the opinion that there is a lot of room for improvement.
He has his eyes fixed on the Final Round, which will be staged in Poland. German team has been placed in Pool B along with Russia, Bulgaria and Japan. Germany will have tough competition with all of these teams. Russia is the runner-up team of last year,
while Bulgaria also has better ranking than Germany.
Likewise, Japanese team is known for its quick action and fast game. Germans will have to come up with a fine plan to dismantle the power of opponents. Otherwise, it would be quite unimaginable for them to play in the Final Round of the Tournament.
Lozano had his say about the other pool members. He stated, “Russia and Bulgaria are quite similar in the way of playing: in the power, the art of the attacks and in the level of serving. We have to be better in serve, attack and readiness and primarily
in the technical area because they outclass us in the power area. Japan is completely different, because the Japanese volleyball is really fast. We will have to change the tactics in block- and field-defence. The most important thing for us will be to act
well structured and to play solid. We will not win, because a player has a good day, but because the whole team has a good day.”
