I'm looking up my Code of Arms and my last name's motto: Fest im handel ohne wandel -I believe it to be German motto. Can anyone translate?

Thank you,

  1. "Festival in the trade without change"

  2. Try Coat of Arms and Babelfish

    The other answers suggest you come from a line of merchants who can't break a 20.

  3. German : Fest im handel ohne wandel

    English : Firmly in the trade without change

    Edit: Both sources say the same thing.

  4. "Firmly in trade, without change."

    Fest = firm, solid

    Handel = trade

    ohne = without

    Wandel = change

    I'm not familiar with the motto though.

    Edit: Ah... I didn't even think of "Fest" meaning "celebration"!

  5. The direct translation is "Festival in the act without change"
