Zonin hailed Kurban Berdyev after winning the Russian Cup final against Dynamo Moscow; backs Lokomotiv Moscow’s Jose Couceiro to shine

Rubin managed to win their first ever league cup after defeating Dynamo Moscow 1-0 at Yekaterinburg stadium on Wednesday.

Russian Premier League results.
“Lokomotiv are a decent side but they still lack enough composure and balance between their performances. The trouble is that they are not using their chances well because the team is young and inexperienced. They have been
unlucky to get nothing out of the games against Zenit and CSKA Moscow.

There is little arguing that Lokomotiv had a tremendous start to the second league round ever since Couceiro had taken over the helm at Lokomotiv Stadium. The Railroaders managed to prolong their unbeaten domestic run to
12 games under the Portuguese manager.
However, they failed to meet the expectations during the second league round, and despite having a fine start to the third league round, Lokomotiv have failed to find consistency in their performances. Loko have gone winless
in their last seven matches.
With only two games left to play until the end of the season, Lokomotiv are at the sixth spot in the league, and trial the second-spot by seven points. However, the Railroaders have a last chance to qualify for UEFA Europa
League if they can win the upcoming league tie against third-placed, Dynamo Moscow, at Arena Khimki.
