German coach Joachim Loew unlikely to call Michael Ballack again under his stewardship
Germany coach, Joachim Loew, has hinted that it would be difficult for veteran midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Ballack-c25270, to make it to the German national while he remains in charge of the team. Loew insisted that he is more than happy with the current crop of players,
and the 34-year-old Bayer Leverkusen does not merit a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 berth.
Ballack, who is not on the best of terms with the German coach, has been overlooked again for Die Mannschaft’s upcoming alluring fixtures. Germany, after hosting http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Uruguay-c3035 in an International friendly match on Sunday at Rhein Neckar Arena, will recommence
their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. Loew’s men are scheduled to clash with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Azerbaijan-c2845 on June 3 and June 7 respectively.
Germany are currently atop the Group A table having won all their qualifying games so far. Loew’s men have a chance to extend their perfect record against Austria and Azerbaijan, as both teams are yet to give a performance of substance in the ongoing Euro
2012 qualifiers.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 player has not appeared in a German Jersey since last year the latest snub will certainly shatter his Germany dreams. Ballack has an outstanding track record for Germany having represented them in 98 matches while netting 42 goals. The
talismanic midfielder made his debut for the national team Germany on 28 April 1999, when he was called up by Berti Vogts, the then coach of Die Mannschaft.
“With Michael Ballack we have discussed things very openly and I have told him many times that I fully trust the current squad that has been nominated because we played a very successful qualifying campaign. We have agreed to have a final chat after the
International matches and decide how things look for next year ahead of the Euro 2012.” Loew expressed his opinion.
In Ballack’s absence, Loew has turned his attention to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929 has been given the responsibility to lead the side in Ballack’s absence.
"I will not and cannot say exactly when we will have (the discussion). But if there is something to be announced after the international matches, and indeed there will be, then we will do it” Loew added.
The former Chemnitzer FC, Kaiserslautern and Bayern Munich player has also failed to secure a regular spot in the playing eleven of Bayer Leverkusen after making his comeback in January 2010.
