German fans claim Sebastian Vettel will win the 2011 drivers’ championship – Formula 1 news
German fans of Formula 1 claim that Sebastian Vettel is going to win the drivers’ title once again this year.
He is the reigning world champion as he secured the title in 2010 and in 2011, he is looking even stronger as Red Bull Racing team has developed a very fast and reliable car.
According to a survey, 74.4 percent of the people in Germany believe that Vettel is going to retain his title while just an 11.8 percent claim that Fernando Alonso or one of the McLaren drivers is going to win the title.
With Mark Webber as one of the top competitors for the title as well, it seems that defeating RBR is going to be very difficult for McLaren and Ferrari and in order to do that, they would need to perform amazingly at each venue with consistency.
According the statistics, Ferrari and McLaren have not been consistent at all but still, Vettel’s rivals claim that they have a chance of winning the title this year if they perform at their best. Hamilton claims that there are still 8 races left in the
season which means that there are still a maximum of 200 points up for grabs.
“There are 200 points up for grabs and I will enter all the races believing I can win them. It is going to be an exciting run down to the last race in Brazil and I can't wait for the next round in Belgium. Our car's pace is there right now as we have shown
with our wins, mine in Germany with the fastest lap and Jenson's in Hungary,” he told the media.
Other than that, the pace of the Formula 1 championship has changed quite drastically since Ferrari and McLaren are now looking much faster than RBR as a result of which the reigning world champions have not been able to secure a single race win since the
past 3 races of the season.
Either way, RBR have a massive lead ahead of their rivals and once again, defeating them requires a miracle.
