is that guy amazing or what? 4 flat 1600, two hours later, 8:34 3200...shattered the national highschool record in the latter, and if im not mistaken, he broke national high school record in the 1600 as well...i think hes got a pretty bright olympic future...that was the best overall high school single meet performance ever...amazing

he sadly didn't brake the national high school federation record on the 1600 - he ran a 4:00.29 - but he was a second or two from the 1600 record

but he did shatter the 3200 record

he definetly has an amazing future ahead of him - and it would have been so great if he wouldn't have broke the record in the 1600 too

he's definetly an amazing runner - for the 1600 his splits were practically the same (60.2, 59.8, 59.x, 60.x)

same with his 3200 all his splits were just milliseconds within or in the 64's

and this is him running by himself, imagine if he was running with competition and people to run with, he would probably PR again.

and he's going to college at Oklahoma State University - kinda random but they probably have a good program if that was his choice

It was an awesome double, I didn't think he'd get that 3200m record, but he did!

His 1600m is 3rd all-time in high school only competition behind Jim Ryun (3:58.5) and Alan Webb (3:59.51).. overall it's the 7th fastest time by a high schooler. Alan Webb has the overall fastest at 3:53.43, which he set at The Prefontaine Classic against international competition.
