German licence plate for audi

I have an '05 Audi A6 and just bought one of those custom german licence plates online that says Mein Audi. I plan on removing the front licence plate, but is there any way I can remove the backing for it that is fixed to the grill? I know that underneath that is a perfect mounting spot for the plate, as it was designed to fit german licence plates.

Yes, sure you can. Although it depends on the way it's mounted. If it's just 2 screws, you can take it right off.

yeah you can take those off, just make sure your state allows you to have a german plate on. Some states require you to have a front plate or dont allow other types of plates.
