German pancakes???

one morning my german friends mom made these things like pancakes and we they put strawberries and sugar on it....what are they called and how do u make them?

We are a military family and were in Germany for 11 years. I think what you are describeing is more like a crepe....a lite, pancake type with fresh fruit or cream.

You make them similar to the pancake recipe, but the batter must be thinner for it to work.

Eierkuchen??

250 g flour

4 eggs

a hint of sugar and salt

375 ml milk (app. 1.5 cups)

125 ml Soda water (app. 0.5 cups)

mix eggs and fluids

mix mixture little by little with flour

be careful not to make lumps

heat butter or oil in pan

fry like pancakes on both sides
