German shepherd breeders?

Question

I have been looking around online to find a good reputable German shepherd breeder. I have found a few that look like they are very good breeders, but I wanted to see if anyone knows of any others?

Please don't say anything like "don't get a dog from a breeder - get it from a shelter." I have rescued many animals from shelters.

And please no other NEGATIVE comments. I know some of you might say this is the last place to look for a reputable breeder - I know that and like I said I have been looking so this is the last place.

Why not just head to the http://www.gsdca.org site and get some more referrals?

And to http://www.onofrio.com to look for show results, and then search for kennel names based on that. If Gardenia's Garden Sunday won BIS, then you'd search for "Gardenia German Shepherd" to see if they have a website.

Do you want to post links to the breeders you've found and we can peek at them and give you our thoughts?

How about a happy in between answer - consider getting a German Shep from a rescue group.  A bunch come up when you google "german shepherd rescue group".

You could try going on a german website to get a dog. they have beautiful dogs over there. but you'll have to get it sent over here on a plane. hope this helps
